Cyanotype photographic prints on vintage cotton, linen and silk fabric, polyester thread
36” x 22”

In 2022 I spent two months living along the mediterranean coast of southern Spain. As a naturalist, I spent much of that time watching and listening to the ecology of my surroundings, and as a botanist, especially the plants. This piece celebrates some of those relationships I developed with neighboring plants, as well as the daily input of mountains and sea. The two fabric panels are designed to be hung in tandem where indirect daylight can pass through, highlighting the brilliant blue color as well as the delicate layers of meticuouly stitched fabrics.
