Botanical studies explore the wildness of Los Angeles and the familiar plants we share our city with. Color plays a prominent role in the work, a constant study of harmony through the pigments of natural sources, mostly plant based and sometimes wild foraged. Fluorescent threads express the energy that is in wild places, a vein that follows the topography and shapes of natural forms. Media includes naturally dyed reclaimed and antique fabrics.
