Nest

2022
Found wood, furniture, rope, tubing, fabric, netting,
plastic, bones, metal, plants
2  m x 2 m x 3 m

Immitating bird nests in the same abandoned rural Spanish house, a human sized nest is built by a transient artist. Constructed of refuse and natural materials all found in and around the ruined building. Ideas of home, relocation, migration, and the inertia of family protection are somatically explored through the weaving and photographic documentation
of this installation.
